Brookings County Chapter

The Brookings County Chapter has tackled some important issues and campaigns since its inception in the early 1990's, including launching and organizing a city-wide recycling campaign, organizing multiple Earth Day events, and working on county zoning issues.

Though the full chapter has been inactive for several years, a committed group of Brookings County members are working on launching the online South Dakota Local Food Co-op, a project that will connect consumers with local producers. The co-op launched spring of 2010.
