Heidi Kolbeck-Urlacher, Organizer
Heidi Kolbeck-Urlacher serves as an Organizer coordinating the Farm Beginnings program.
Hailing from Salem, SD, Heidi graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Cultural Anthropology and Women's Studies. Passionate about food and farming, Heidi has returned to SD and is enjoying working on these issues in her home state. Heidi spent two seasons as an intern at Prairie Coteau Farm in Astoria, SD before starting her own urban homestead in Sioux Falls. There she spends her time gardening, putting up food, knitting, sewing, and rustling her six ever-escaping city chickens. A lover of all things outdoors, Heidi enjoys running, hiking, biking and camping. She and her husband welcomed their first child into the world this year, and she is loves being a Mama.
