This! ✊Today, the Public Justice Food Project joined 25 ally organizations to file a petition with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, calling on the agency to regulate methane emissions from industrial dairy and hog operations. This petition, grounded in rural communities' opposition to the industry that pollutes their air and destabilizes their climate, calls on the Biden Administration to #BuildBackBetter by following a climate agenda that addresses the role that industrial agriculture plays as a major driver in climate change. And that starts with recognizing this petition. "The industry is greenwashing factory farm gas and saying that it's good for the environment. As farmers, we know that the manure stays in our communities, our drinking water, and in our air." - Lynn Utesch, Spokesperson for Kewaunee Cares of Kewaunee, Wis.Read the full press release here: bit.ly/3sSBfbb ...
