If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to do a professional job of butchering chickens on your farm, this is your chance! JHA Farms in Wentworth, SD raises nearly 1000 broilers a year and processes them all on-farm for wholesale and retail outlets such as Pomegranate Market and The Co-op Natural Foods. Additionally they also raise 250 laying hens and sell Omega 3 eggs. Participants will learn the full process of bringing a chicken from farmyard to packaged retail product.

Please RSVP to heidiku@dakotarural.org or contact Josh or Anne directly.
