We have been working hard these past few months to make our 25th Annual Meeting of Dakota Rural Action the go-to event of 2012. Plan to join us in celebrating 25 years of VITAL + VIBRANT organizing to protect South Dakota’s unique way of life on November 9 & 10, here at our home base of Brookings, SD. The celebration features keynote speaker, Dr. Fred Kirschenmann, music by Plum Crazy, local food, training workshop, annual business meeting including voting on resolutions, a silent auction and an extra treat this year, an art raffle.
The art raffle is a chance to win an original Denise Du Broy oil painting titled Aerial Fields. The painting’s intense vibrancy matches the vibrancy of our organization, the state of South Dakota, and all of our members, like you, combined.
Denise Du Broy’s oil paintings on Yupo paper explore the relationship between light, color, space and the rural landscape of South Dakota with intense vibrancy and original painting techniques. Du Broy and her family have lived and ranched buffalo in the Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota since 1993.

Raffle tickets are $10 for 1 or $25 for 3 and can be purchased here or by calling 605.697.5204. Only 250 tickets will be sold. The raffle drawing will take place on Saturday, November 10 at our 25th Annual Meeting. Person need not be present to win. The original framed painting is valued at $1150.
