SoDak Grown
What is SoDak Grown?
More South Dakotans would buy more South Dakota grown and produced products if they were available and identified as being from SD. Dakota Rural Action developed SoDak Grown in 2018. It is a FREE marketing program designed to help consumers, restaurants, and retailers identify and purchase SD food and agricultural products.
The bright, distinctive SoDak Grown logo series helps residents of our state, other states, and other countries easily identify SD food and agricultural products.
Logo Use Guidelines
The SoDak Grown logo was developed by Dakota Rural Action to identify food and agricultural products from our state. The logo is created under Creative Commons License: Attribution + Noncommercial + Share Alike. The logo may only be used by producers that have agreed to the program terms and conditions.
The logos may only be used in a manner that positively promotes South Dakota’s products that are grown, raised, and created and may never be used in a manner that appears to be an endorsement of any kind.
Who may use the logo?
The SoDak Grown logo may be used to promote any food or agricultural product that has been grown, raised, or processed in South Dakota. “Grown” applies only to fresh produce, herbs, grains, and horticultural products, “Raised” applies only to livestock, and “Processed” applies only to value-added/manufactured food products. Fresh produce, herbs, grains and horticultural products must be grown in SD. Livestock must be raised in SD.
Value-added consumer foods (jams, salsas, sauces, chips, dairy, sausage, jerky, etc.) are encouraged to use ingredients that are grown or raised in SD.
Non-food items must be at least 50 percent agricultural origin by weight, and that agricultural base must have been grown, raised, or processed in SD.

Image Specifications
- Logo is not altered other than in the approved ways
- Logo cannot be rotated or flipped
- Logo colors cannot be changed from approved alternate options
