Farm Beginnings®
Farm Beginnings
There are still spots available for the Farm Beginnings course! We will continue to accept applications until the course fills.

Farm Beginnings is a farmer-led training and suppport program offered by Dakota Rural Action that provides participants an opportunity to learn first-hand about lowcost, sustainable methods of farming.
Participants will:
- Learn whole whole farm planning and critical farm management skills such as goal setting, business planning, creative financing, and innovative marketing strategies
- See sustainable farming practices being used on real farms and learn to view a farm as an interconnected system
- Have opportunities to engage in mentorship experience and network with successful and innovative midwest farmers
- Gain the tools to successfully launch a profitable farm enterprise
Paricipants can be of any age, and do not need to own land. Prospective farmers with no experience, beginning farmers, part-time farmers looking to further develop their operation, or established farmers wanting to transition their practices or enterprise are all welcome!
